Stupid New York Times Company’s New England Media Group!
January 23, 2007 by Brian
The Boston Globe, one of the institutions here in Boston was sold to the New York Times group in 1993. And now they are shutting down all their foreign branches, but will send reporters out for “on special projects”. I just don’t see it possible that you can report on the local scene without actually being there. It is a sad day for Boston media.

Dude, you are supposed to rant about Beyonce’s latest spoiled brat behavior, not things that REALLY matter. I feel your pain though. It is true that the most accurate stories would come from reporters that are actually familiar with the cities they are covering. Just like how I don’t sell houses outside of my market area. You know they are now going to focus much less on local issues. That’s it. You guys have to move to Ridgetown. Our paper may be only 20 pages long, but it covers only what goes on in our 2,000 person town and that is it. It’s like a gossip rag. Frickin awesome.
