A terrorist act can be against your own government. Nothing in the definition suggests outsiders for it to be terrorism. "Terrorism is a term used to describe violence or other harmful acts committed (or threatened) against civilians by groups or persons for political or ideological goals." Blowing up buildings where civilians may be harmed is a terrorist act. Even in the movie the character V says that sometimes they get in the way, basically, but it is justified. They kill security guards at the TV station. There are civilians killed when they bomb the Old Bailey and he acknowledges that in the movie. They were referring to the Bush administration many times in the movie and even the film makers admitted that. They purposely did want it to be a comment on terrorism and they said that in interviews which is why Alan Moore (the creator of V for Vendetta) was pissed cause that is not what his creation was about. The original graphic novel was about the government in relation to the citizen and this is too, but it was also spun to comment on what is going on today. That is why it didn't make sense as a movie and political commentary cause what is going on today is nowhere near the same as what Alan Moore was talking about and they have no relation so why bring that into it? They should have just kept it as it was. I thought it ruined the point that Alan Moore made, but you obviously just saw it as Alan Moore wanted so that works too. Hey, there is strong evidence of vote tampering in BOTH elections that Bush won so I can't be too mean to America.

I liked the movie and thought it had some great lines. I never even thought that they were commenting on terrorism. What movie did you see? They were talking about their own government, and the relation to the citizen, never an outside force. Oh, and yes, the general american public (majority) is that dense - hello!? Bush got elected not once but twice!!!

haha Thought you would like the ending! Zing! I am definately interested in the Alan Moore V for Vendetta graphic novel (sorry, I kept calling it a comic, bad me!) and I think that is why the movie disappointed me.
