A while back, Gates <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2006/04/70584" rel="nofollow">made fun of the project</a>, teasing the solar panel and secondary mechanical battery charger and for not running his shitty Windows OS. But now his company has muscled its way into the product <a rel="nofollow" href="http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/one-laptop-per-child/olpc-now-175-and-windows-xp-ready-255831.php" rel="nofollow">and almost doubled the price</a> ($175) -- oh, it comes with Windows now. Can't say I have any idea what Linux is like but when I finally spill so much wine on my laptop that it gives up on me I might be looking a little deeper into my options.
