i am seriously in love with this turtle. my reasons for loving it are two fold:
- it’s really cute, both sides.
- it makes me think and sometimes i like that. when i look at the turtle i wonder things like:
- does it just have one name or two?
- how does it walk?
- does one turtle lead and does the other follow?
- do they share the work?
- are they always fighting about which way to go?
- do the two heads get along?
- can i have a pet like this if i glue two turtles together?
- what’s the best glue to use on turtles?

i know that i’ve loved you for a very long time but recently i’ve come to realize that we have to break up. it seems like just the other day i was gushing to my friend jess about you and now it’s come to this.
i’m not going to give you any of that “it’s not you, it’s me” bullshit. it’s not me, it’s totally all you. i’ve noticed so many changes in you lately. first you started slicking back your hair, needless to say, i don’t think it’s having the desired affect, you look more creepy then good. then there was the interview in vanity fair. i couldn’t read it all in one sitting because you sounded like a total asshole. now you’re rumored to be dating rihanna, she of alien head and awful umbrella song. it’s like i don’t even know you anymore, the boy i fell in love with is gone.
don’t do anything to try and win me back because it won’t work, i’m already in love with someone else (hey michael cera!). we had some good times, i know you won’t forget them and i won’t either.

okay, i lied, its not so much an ode as it is a love note prompted by my current re-watching of my so-called life.
dear brian krakow,
the stupidity of my youth caused me to love jordan catalano but now that i’m older and wiser i can see the error of my ways. you, brian krakow, with your golden halo of curly hair, are the object of my affections. you’re so good and so true and your clothing is so very sensible - why did i not see all of this before? you are the one for me.

yesterday tv news was saturated with the image of prince william dancing during the concert thrown to celebrate what would have been princess diana’s 46th birthday. what was that enchanting dance he was performing? how did he get such mad skillz? has he been professionally trained? all of these questions, and more, raced through my head as i watched a brief clip of him performing what i now call “the hula hoop”

i predict that dance floors will soon be filled with people doing “the hula hoop”.

despite brians warnings that i’ll “look old” if i post about this topic i’ve decided to go ahead with it.
i use to love the tv show “freaks and geeks” and as an after effect of its cancellation i occasionally find myself wondering what happened to some of the people on it. in many cases it’s easy to figure out since some of the main characters on the show have gone on to star in tv shows and/or movies but with one character, little sam weir, figuring out his whereabouts was more difficult. basically after the show ended he disappeared for a long time, these videos make it obvious that puberty was the reason.
