Not the band from NYC, our new car actually. As car-less for 10 years, it is strange to me to (co)own a car now…we can actually get out of the city now on the weekends. And no more Zipcar!!!
We bought a brand new car last month, I’ve been meaning to post about it. It is both Sarah’s and my first new car purchase; I never would have thought my first new car would have only two pedals. But it has a nice 6 gear triptronic transmission, so it is still loads fun to drive. It came with Sirius, Sarah and I are totally sold on satellite radio.

We decided to take a drive into red rock canyon, we’ve been here before, it’s where Brian had that near-death experience on horseback last year. There are a few more pics on Flickr.

After our wedding last night we ate a fancy-schmancy meal at Michael Mina, so tonight we are going low key to Fatburger. We may even place a bet on tomorrow’s NASCAR race here (although neither of us know anything about the race or the lifestyle).
Oh, my new signature drink is stoli-orange and cranberry. It tastes like candy.

We got married today on a mountain top.

i won $57 playing penny slots. penny slots! i sat down, put money in, pushed the button (i’m too lazy to pull the arm thing) and then the machine started playing a winning song. seriously, i know the secrets of winning playing slots. people say it’s random but it’s not. i’ve uncovered the way to win. i’m also really good at roulette. brian says you can’t be good cause it’s all random but that’s not true. i think i’m, like, psychic or something.
i also had a pina colada from treasure island. they’re so good. tonight i’m going to get a big one in a gigantic red scull mug. we also got our marriage license, we had to wait in line for about an hour. they lady kept spelling my name wrong, like it’s hard. the marriage license is pretty and official looking.
we also had a conversation with a really drunk guy in a bar. the guy was all over me and now i think brian feels guilty for not punching him in the face. i thought the whole thing was rather funny.

brian and i are in las vegas. clearly, this means that we have to eat at some sort of buffet. they’re everywhere. last night we went to the one at the wynn cause i heard that it’s very vegetarian friendly. it was nice. there was lots of food. lots of it was veggie friendly. while we were sitting and eating i saw the respectable looking lady at the table next to me take all of the massive slabs of prime rib off of her and her children’s plates and stuff them in a ziplock bag that she’d brought from home. she did it all secret-like then shoved the bag filled with meat into her purse. the bag was filled to the top. i couldn’t believe that i saw that. this morning i realized that she made all her kids get some prime rib but they didn’t eat it - holy shit! it was all planned out. brian explained to me that buffets are just a massive sociology experiment. i can see it now. i think i’ll stick to normal restaurants from now on.
oh, brian got ray-ban sunglasses. like the tom cruise in risky business kind. he wanted me to say that.

he also wants me to say: that he got the sunglasses because he forgot his other ones. and that his hair is messy because he just woke up. and that i went to forever 21 and heritage 1980. and that we lost $40 playing penny slots (my game!) and 5 cent slots (too rich for my blood!). oh! and we ate vegan donuts! and our room is really nice, we’re staying at the palazzo. like nicer-than-our-apartment nice. it’s also bigger than our apartment.

Looking at how expensive it is to fly from the States to Canada (Air Canada), I came across this relatively new airline, Skybus.
You can fly from Boston to Daytona Beach for $10 each way! Yup, book it from Jan 22 to Jan 29, it costs a whopping $20.

Yep, but now most of the water has all been sucked out of the ground for our sinful pleasures. Oh, and Sarah and I will be there later today. We are staying at the brand new Red Rock Casino, which is supposed to be fly. Also, we are planning (among other things) to eat some vegan donuts at some place called Ronald’s. The post-punk crowd approves.
